September is Hunger Action Month. One in six, that is the number of Americans who struggle with hunger each day. The need in this country is tremendous, but so is the impact that you can have.
The Kansas Food Bank is proud to work with Manna House in Dodge City to help our food-insecure Kansans. Through our network of providers, we distribute over 8 million pounds of food each year. Our pantry partners work tirelessly day after day, week after week and year after year to ensure that food is available to those in need. They are the lifeline for so many of our neighbors.
Throughout Hunger Action Month, we are calling upon the communities we serve to take action. Whether it is by advocating and raising awareness, making donations or giving of your time and energy, find a way that's right for you to make a difference.
Have an "I can" attitude and see what you can do during Hunger Action Month. Take the pledge, visit www.kansasfoodbank.org and help us continue to do the work we do ... because after all, no Kansan should go hungry.
