The Kansas Shrine Bowl has announced that Kaley Temaat of Dodge City High School has been selected to run in the 2008 Kansas Shrine Bowl 5K and 1-Mile Runs as part of the Shrine Bowl All-Star Cross Country Team. The charity all-star event will be held Saturday, July 26 in Emporia.
Temaat will not be able to participate in the event, but is honored to have been chosen according to her parents. 60 student athletes from Kansas are selected as Shrine Bowl all-stars to compete in the runs.
The Shrine Bowl donates all net profits from the all-star events to the Shriners Hospitals for Children.
