Bucklin basketball product signs with Pratt CC

   Bucklin High School graduating senior Abbey Rudd has committed to play basketball next season for the Pratt Community College Beavers.
    Rudd signed her letter of intent on May 14 and is the second exiting Red Ace to make the jump to basketball at the collegiate level.
    Bucklin's Haley Lindsey will play for the Fort Hays State University Tigers after signing during the early signing period in November.
    Rudd, a 5-foot-8-inch guard, was an honorable mention All-Area Class 1A pick by the Hutchinson News.
    The 2008 season was Stephanie Shanline's first year as the coach of the Beavers and saw the team go 10-21. They finished eighth in the Jayhawk West Conference.
