Red Demons head to state soccer

        The Dodge City Red Demons make their first-ever state appearance tonight in Overland Park. The Demons (16-3) take on the Lawrence Free State Firebirds (15-4) at 6 p.m. in the semifinals.
    The Demons aren't nervous about their first trip to state and aren't about to settle for just making it this far. Instead they are prepared to achieve their ultimate team goal of winning a state championship.
    Dodge City coach Virgil Hutchcraft said even though on paper the Demons look better, they will be prepared for a tough match-up against the Firebirds..
