The Dodge City rodeo teams traveled to Garden City Community College this weekend where they competed in the Garden City Community College Rodeo on Friday, Saturday and Sunday.

In the barrel racing event, Cheyenne Miller had the best time of any Conquistador with a time of 15.3, while Eleanor Moffitt, Rachelle Aranda and Arely Baeza finished behind her with times of 15.55, 15.6 and 22.29 respectively.

In team roping, the team of Layton Wright and Asher Huck finished with a time of 14.3 while Andrew Linville and Cody Frantz finished with a time of 7.9 (+10).

The only Conquistador to compete in the goat tying event was Cheyenne Miller who finished with a time of 10.7. In the breakaway, Camron Peterson led the way with a time of 4.5 seconds, while Arely Baeza and Moffit finished with times of 6.4 seconds and 2.5 seconds (+10).

Javin Keaton and Tanner Bond both competed in the Steer Wrestling event with Keaton posting a time of 18.8 seconds and Bond posting a time of 27.3 seconds.

Both teams will be in action again on April 12, as they travel to Weatherford, Okla., to compete in the Southwestern Oklahoma State University Rodeo.
