The Red Demons boys baseball team earned a pair of key wins Tuesday night in their final homestand of the season.
They beat the Panthers 13-7, followed by 11-10.
In game one, Kaden Riekenberg and Noah Sowers each had two RBI’s. Riekenberg and Aiden Knedler each had two hits, as did Cody Ibarra. Sowers and Omar DonJuan each had a run, Ibarra getting two with Riekenberg, Mendoza, Sowers and Keanin Camacho.
The Red Demons trailed 1-0 going into the bottom of the second inning, at which point they scored three runs and took the lead. After Great bend scored three more in the third inning, and one in the top of the fifth before the Red Demons scored six in the bottom of the fifth to in essence seal the deal.
In game two, the Red Demons scored seven in the bottom of the third inning after getting one in the bottom of the first.
The Panthers scored two in the first, one in the third, two in the fourth, one in the fifth and four in the sixth, but the Red Demons scored three in the bottom of the seventh to seal the win.
