When the Red Demons girls soccer team looks back on this regular season, one thing that will certainly stand out is the difference in records between the first eight games, and the last seven.

That regular season ended Thursday night as the Red Demons fell in a 2-1 loss to Liberal. Freshman Alicia Solis scored the lone Red Demon goal, which was assisted by senior Ariana Temblador.

Thursday’s loss was the only one to blemish the Red Demons record over in the final seven games they played. After starting 2-6-0 through the first eight games of the season, the Red Demons finished the year 6-7-2 overall, including going 3-3-2 in Western Athletic Conference play.

Through the final seven games of the season, the Demons went 4-1-2 overall, including winning three straight prior to facing Liberal Thursday night.

Regional seeding will be done today, starting at 10 a.m. Regional games start May 14, and run through May 19.
