After falling behind two sets to none, the Conquistadors battled throughout set three, keeping it close throughout, but the Conquistadors eventually fell to the Saints in straight sets by scores of 25-9, 25-14 and 25-19.

Dodge City struggled to find the energy they needed in set one as the Saints pulled away early and never looked back. Although Dodge City scored first, the Saints then went on a 6-0 run to take the early lead. Eventually, the Saints would win set one, 25-9.

Again in set two, the Saints jumped out to an early 6-1 lead, but this time the Conquistadors were able to cut the lead to 8-7 before a kill by the Saints ended the Dodge City run to make it 9-7. Seward then took over the set and won set two, 25-14.

The Conquistadors picked up the energy for set three as they kept it close throughout. Midway through the set, the Saints held a 16-13 lead, but would hold that lead for the remainder of the match, winning the third set, 25-20.

The Conquistadors move to 1-13 on the year and will be in action again on Friday, Sept. 14, as they take on Independence inside the Student Activity Center at 6:30 p.m.
