LIBERAL —  Dodge City High School’s Terrance Williams and Landon Head combined for 31 points Tuesday night, leading the Red Demons to a 58-40 road win over the punchless Liberal Redskins
The Demons (11-2 overall, 3-0 WAC) held just a 21-20 lead at intermission. A 19-6 third quarter that put Dodge City up 40-26 at the end of the period and eased some of DCHS coach Dennis Hamilton’s worries.
“Coming out of halftime, I thought we played really well,” Hamilton said. “We just picked it up defensively, and the kids accepted the challenge.
“We just didn’t settle for 3-pointers, and we got some things at the basket in transition and got a lot better on the boards.”
