The Dodge City High School junior varsity boys basketball team may have had the first game jitters Friday night. They fell to the Salina Central Mustangs (1-0) 59-45.
The Red Demons (0-1) came out strong in the first quarter, demanding the attention of the crowd. They lead 17-14 at the end of the first.

If it was just a first quarter game, the Demons would have been set. The second quarter proved to be too much for them, scoring only seven points in the eight minutes. It wasn't enough to keep up with the Mustangs and they trailed 24-33 at the half.
Junior Terell Brown came out strong in the third trying to get the Demons back in the game. Brown lead the Demons in scoring with 21 of their 45 points.
