Burke resigns football post

    Dodge City High School football coach Justin Burke has resigned his position after district officials for Dodge City Public School had an internal investigation of a possible Kansas State High School Activities Association rule violation.
    Burke, who is also a physical education instructor,  as well as a track and field coach at DCHS, said USD 443 accepted his resignation Monday night during the executive session.
    The possible rule violation occurred during a physical education class in which Burke was teaching.
