Even though the Meade High School Buffaloes football season is over, coach Scott Moshier and his team have no regrets.
"We had a real strong season," Moshier said of his 11-1 team. "We overcame the loss of a lot of kids. We went 10-2 last year and just didn't know if we could do it again this year. But these kids really pulled together and played as a team."
Moshier said they came in to the season with a new philosophy, which was to get better every day.
"I think we did," Moshier said. "Some day's you wonder, and you question things occasionally. But these kids really enjoyed practices and everything.
"They stayed focused, which is hard sometimes for teenage boys. There were tough times, but I think they did a great job and really caught some peoples attention."
Moshier also credited what a tremendous staff he worked with this season.
For Moshier and the Buffaloes, a turning point in their season was when they beat LaCrosse.
"Beating LaCrosse was huge for us," Moshier said. "It was the first time ever that we did that. And then to turn around and two games later beat St. Francis was tremendous."
