Lady Demons have good first showing

 Thursday, the Dodge City High School girls’ junior varsity tennis team started the season off on a strong note.           

The Dodge City Red team took first place out of the eight teams competing in the Dodge City Invitational tennis tournament. 

   The Red team managed to put up 25 points, while Garden City finished in second and the Dodge City Blue squad rounded things out with a third place finish.

   On the DC red team, the No. 2 doubles team of Karla De la Torre and Madison Santrnyer went 4-0 on the day and took first place.

   In No.1 doubles n the red team, Landy Flores and Sarah Raugewitz went 3-1 and took second. In No.1 single and No.2 LaTara Hardy and Robbi Lininger went 3-1 and took second place respectively. 

   On the blue squad, No.1 singles player Signe Munk took first going 4-0, while No.2 singles player Cleo Deutschmann took third going 3-1. The No.1 double duo of Alex Muelien and Keysha Howard went 2-2 for fourth, while the No.2 team of Abby Phommachanh and Jennifer Vielma finished 2-2 for fourth.
