Three Dodge City High School Red Demon cross country runners competed at the 6A state meet at Rim Rock Farm in Lawrence Saturday.
Junior Peter Neidhart placed 53rd in the boys' meet, finishing the 5k in 17 minutes, 26 seconds. Senior Joe Butcher placed 91st and finished in 18:17.
Junior Maria Schmidt took 64th at state in the girls' 4k. She finished in 17:06.
