DCHS tennis ties for 5th at Great Bend

GREAT BEND —

The Dodge High Red Demon boys tennis team took the court Saturday in Great Bemd, where they finished in a tie for fifth place in the first varsity competition of the season.
    Liberal and Garden City finished first and second, respectively, in the meet.
    Dodge's Peter Neidhart finished fifth in No. 1 singles competition after going 1-4 in his matches on the day, while Tanner Miller took third in No. 2 singles play by going 3-2 on the day.
    The Demons' No. 1 doubles team of Alex Jenkner and Garrett Salem placed fifth by going 1-4 in their matches. The No. 2 doubles team of Armando Marquez and Luis Lopez went 2-3 in their matches, earning them  fourth place at Great Bend.
    The Demons will take the court again Tuesday, April 14 in a make-up meet at Pratt.
