Over the weekend of Saturday, July 19, the Dodge/Cimarron Swim Meet
swam against all the teams in WKSC (Western Kansas Swim Club) in Garden
City. In this two-day event, swimmers swam all the events in which
they had earned a qualifying time throughout the season.
Top ten point-scorers were Zhu Zhu Lundin-Daniels (53 points),
Jennifer Delzeit (32 points), Kari Keahey (13 points), Audra Burns (10
points), Sabrina Mendoza (9 points), Isaac Bautista (7 points), Talia
Falcon (6 points), Katie Jones (6 points), Fernanda Ibave (4 points),
and Jesus Bautista (3 points).
Lundin-Daniels earned four first place finishes, including the
Girls 13-14-year-old 100-meter backstroke with a time of 1:22.00. Delzeit came in second place in the Girls 13-14-year-old
100-meter breaststroke in 1:40.46 seconds. Keahey placed third in the
Girls 13-14-year-old 50-meter freestyle with a time of 33.78 seconds.
