    Victory is sweet.
Even more so when it's the first win of the season.
Finally, on Saturday, the Dodge City Community College Lady Conquistadors experienced a win, when they beat the Bethany College JV Swedes 59-32 in the final game of the Dodge House Hotel-Lady Conq Classic.
"I'm really happy for our players," DCCC head coach Steve High said. "I mean, that's the most important thing. It's been a struggle. Nobody wants to start 0-1 let alone 0-6. I really thought the worst we would be after six games would be 3-3, and to be 0-6 and have to win one today, that's pretty tough.
"We came out and changed some defenses today and I thought our defensive focus and intensity was a lot better."
