Tennis regional tourney results from Cimarron

DODGE CITY —

The Cimarron High School Bluejay tennis team hosted its 3-2-1A regional tournament Thursday, and several area tennis players advanced to the sub-state tournament, which will also be hosted by CHS today at 8:30 a.m.
    Meade sophomore Landry Cordes placed second in the singles bracket and will advance to sub-state. Both Cimarron doubles teams also advanced to sub-state Thursday.
    Bluejay senior Bakah Harman and junior Sharon Garcia placed second in the regional tourney, and juniors Maria Sauzameda and Britnie Jenkins placed third.
    All participants who make the semifinal matches in today's sub-state tournament qualify for the state tournament.
