A town meeting, if you will, was called at the Dodge City High School auditorium on Thursday night.
The topic being discussed was the process taken by administrators in hiring a new head varsity football coach for the Red Demons.
The meeting, conducted by DCHS athletic director Jay Gifford, touched on the search committee, as well as the priority to hire a head coach with previous head-coaching experience and a target date for completing the hire: April 1.
Yet things got a little testy, when some members of the audience voiced their displeasure that current DCHS football assistants reportedly would not be considered for the head football post.
