Dodge cheer team shines in regional competition
The 19 members of the Dodge City Diamonds pose with their second place trophy after the Worlds of Fun Cheerfest Saturday in Kansas City, Mo. The Diamonds are Dodge City's age 11 and under cheer squad and are coached by Dodge City High School cheerleading coaches Valerie Cunningham and Cami Cook.
Emily and Katelyn Slattery, part of the age 14 and under Diamonds squad, won best gymnastics in their age group as well.
Shae Turner, a member of the 11 and under Diamonds squad, poses with her trophy for best jumps in the age group. Shae and the rest of the Dodge City Diamonds earned second place overall in the 11 and under age group.
