The Dodge City Freshman girls played a home tournament this weekend, inviting 6 other teams to compete. The Freshman Lady Demons played 6 games and won all six.
Coach Trisha Hall Fergerson said, "Over the past two weeks we have really grown as a team mentally and physically. With the experience we gained from our first quad, our understanding and knowledge of the game seemed to enhance tenfold! We are playing as a team and seeing holes that we didn't see two weeks ago, that was the driving force behind our winning this tournament."
Kaitlyn Demuth was the server of the day with 91 percent and the hitting of Chandra Sain and Rylie Lopp helped to seal the win.
“We set the ball up nearly every play which gave our hitters a better opportunity to swing and kill the ball,” Fergerson said.
DCHS volleyball will play again at Liberal on Saturday the 17.
