Benefit race set for Nov. 14

Dodge City —

    On Saturday, Nov. 14, runners across Western Kansas will take the streets for a 5K or 1 mile race to benefit the FUSE Foundation.
    The FUSE Foundation was established in 2008. The Foundation hosts several events throughout the year for young adults with neuromuscular disease. They provide opportunities for social networking, recreation and education for such individuals.
    One of those events will be in Dodge City next weekend as they host the Western Kansas Cross Country Challenge on Nov. 14. All proceeds from the race will go to the FUSE Foundation.
    Pre-registration will be accepted until Nov. 9 for am entry fee of $15. After the 9th, the entry fee will be bumped up to $20.
    The 1 mile race will start at 9:30 a.m. and the 5K will start at 10:00 a.m. Registration begins at 8:30 a.m. at the Dodge City High School tennis courts.
