Elkhart 25, Cimarron 8
    The Elkhart Wildcats built on an early lead Friday, beating the Cimarron Bluejays 25-8 in Cimarron.
    The Wildcats picked up their first touchdown in the first quarter on Marcus Irsik's 8-yard run into the end zone, up 6-0. Irsik later hooked up with James Kelly on a 37-yard touchdown pass, putting the 'Cats up 12-0.
    Kelly scored again on a 41-yard punt return followed by a successful point-after kick, making the score 19-0.
    The Wildcats earned their final touchdown of the night in the second quarter  when Ulises Prieto hooked up with Jordan Simmons for a 10-yard scoring pass. The score was 25-8 going into halftime.
    The Bluejays scored their only touchdown in the second quarter, when Tyler Siek hit Eduardo Trevino with a 29-yard pass. Nate Baublits' PAT run succeeded.
    The Wildcats are off to a 1-0 start, and the Bluejays are 0-1.
    
Fowler 70,
Wichita Word of Life 22

    The Fowler Goldbugs rolled past the Wichita Word of Life Flame en route to a 70-22 home win.
    Word of Life scored the opening touchdown on a 2-yard run in the first series, then capped it with a 45-yard touchdown pass later in the quarter.
    But Fowler was just getting started. Cosme Estrada scored the Goldbugs' first touchdown of the night on a 2-yard run, followed by Abdiel Granados' 32-yard scamper into the end zone.
     Estrada added another touchdown on a 15-yard run.
    Fowler quarterback Jeremy Milford hooked up with Desmond Bergkamp for a 30-yard touchdown pass, making the score 34-14 at the end of the first quarter.
    Fowler kept on scoring on the second quarter, starting with Granados' 1-yard stroll into the end zone. Word of Life replied with a 12-yard pass for the Flame's third TD of the night.
    Fowler's Tem Shetley scored on a 65-yard kick return in the second quarter, then repeated the feat in the third stanza.
    Fowler dominated the third quarter, beginning with Estrada's 24-yard touchdown run. Milford later scored on a 62-yard run for a TD.
    Not to be outdone, Fowler's Tyrone Clark scored off a 75-yard interception.
    The game ended after the third quarter.
    Fowler is now 1-0, and Word of Life is 0-1.
    
South Gray 24,
Kiowa County 20

    The South Gray Rebels eked out a 24-20 home victory over the Kiowa County Mavericks.
    The two teams went scoreless through the first quarter. Then in the second quarter, Kiowa County's Ross Binford scored on a 34-yard run, making the score 6-0. The PAT attempt failed.
    South Gray responded with an 18-yard touchdown pass from Garrison Hendricks to Austin Love. Coulter Croft's PAT run was good, putting the Rebels up 8-6.
    Both teams failed to score in the third quarter, but Love scored again in the fourth stanza on an 8-yard pass from Hendricks. Tanner Dirks' PAT attempt was successful.
    Binford scored on a 29-yard run in the fourth quarter and a successful PAT run. But Croft responded with a 20-yard run, sealing the deal for the Rebels.
    BInford scored the last TD of the night on an 8-yard run, but it wasn't enough to beat the Rebels.
    South Gray starts the season at 1-0, and Kiowa County starts at 0-1.

Canadian (Texas) 36, Meade 6
    The Canadian (Texas) Wildcats handed the Meade Buffaloes a 36-6 loss.
    Details of the game were not available.
