Both Dodge City Middle School Cardinal soccer teams scored ARMS League championships Tuesday after winning both games of their league tournies at St. Mary's Soccer Complex.
Both teams came into the tournament as the No. 1 seed after strong regular seasons.
The girls' team (8-1) busted out of the gates in their first round match, overcoming wet conditions not condusive for scoring, and beat Liberal South 5-1. The Cardinals met Garden City - Abe Hubert in the league finals and came away with a closer 3-2 victory.
The DCMS boys (8-0-1) matched their counterparts with a big offensive outing in their first game against Liberal West and moved on to the finals with a 5-2 win. They met Garden City - Kenneth Henderson for the league championship and managed a 2-0 win to cap the unbeaten season.
