The Soroptimist International of Dodge City club announces that applications for the Jane Robison Memorial Scholarship are now available. The scholarship is awarded by the Dodge City club in memory of Jane Robison, former educator and long time member of the local Soroptimist organization.
Graduating high school seniors, either male or female, living in Ford, Hodgeman, Gray, Clark, Edwards, Kiowa and Meade Counties are encouraged to apply, money which will be awarded for the purposes of continuing their education, either college or vocational school. Normally three scholarships are awarded each year. Applicants will be considered on the basis of need, educational goals and objectives, and academic, along with community, civic and extra curricular involvement.
Applications are available from area high school counselors or contact Donna Haskins, scholarship chairperson, at P O Box 176, Dodge City, KS 67801; by calling 620-225-2888; or email at donna@parkerhaskins.com. The deadline for receipt of the application is March 31.
