It will be the top seed vs. the No. 8 seed tonight, when both the Dodge City High School boys’ and girls’ basketball entertains Wichita South in Class 6A semifinal-round sub-state games at the DCHS Field House.
Tipoff for the girls game is 5 p.m., followed by the boys at 7.
Both DCHS boys coach Dennis Hamilton and DCHS girls coach Justin Briggs — with top seeds in tow and 17-3 records alike — are wary of Wichita South, despite both teams having No. 8 seeds in the tourney. South’s boys are 2-18 overall, and their girls are 7-13.
