It's not surprising that Mikeala Zortman loves rodeos.
She's a kid who comes from a long line of rodeo folks, so you might say she was born in the saddle.
Like most cowboys, Mikeala would spend all of her time on horseback if she had her druthers, but one thing she shares with every other little cowpoke is a mother who makes her dismount for things like meals, bedtime, baths and school.
Anyone really paying attention to Mikeala as she and her horse circled the Roundup Rodeo arena Wednesday evening recognized her as a child with unusual spunk, spirit and a certain exuberant approach to life not encountered every day of the week.
