The Dodge City Junior Rangers 17-and-under baseball team are hosting their zone regional tournament Thursday at Demon Field. The tournament will run Thursday and Friday (if necessary) and the winner will be decided after best two games out of three pool play.
Thursday's games will begin at 6 and 8 p.m. and, if necessary, Friday's game will be at 12 p.m. If the Junior Rangers win this tournament they will advance to the American Legion summer league state championship which will be hosted by the team from Great Bend but held in Pratt.
The members of the Junior Rangers are all entering grades 10 and 11 and most played for Dodge City High School in the 2008 baseball season.
