The Southern Plains Iroquois League Athletic Association (SPIAA) All-Stars have earned an invitation to participate in the Cal Ripken state baseball to be held this weekend in Columbus. They will face Columbus in the first round Friday at 7 p.m. The area-wide 12-and-under team earned the honor to represent their district by defeating Gas Capital last weekend in Elkhart 25-3 and 10-9. Member of the All-Stars include: (Back) coach Tanner Zimmerman, Fowler; Coby Lindsey, South Central; Sam Podrebac, Fowler; Stetsen Underwood, South Central; Taylin Bird, Fowler; James Cook, South Central; Morgan Oliveria, Meade; coach Mike Meininger, Ashland.
