Nola Maxine Ward Chagolla, age 53, died Friday morning, May 23, 2008, at her rural Meade residence.
     She was born Sept. 24, 1954, at Fort Carson, Colo., to Glenn and Mary (Darrow) Ward. She married Oscar Chagolla on Oct. 7, 2007, in Meade. He survives.
    As a young girl, she attended school in Florence and Canon City, Colo.   he later made her home in Dodge City, moving to rural Meade in 2003. She was a homemaker.
     She was a member of the Community Full Gospel Church, Meade, and had attended the United Methodist Church of Dodge City. She enjoyed sewing and knitting and had a profound love for animals.
 Other survivors include a son, Brian Trazzare of Meade; two daughters, Caroline Harris, Colorado Springs, Colo., and Laura Ann Renteria, McCloud, Okla.; a brother, Dan Middleton, Michigan; three sisters, Ann Piper, California, Becky Koltveit, Colorado Springs, and Chris Padget, Dodge City; and five grandchildren.
     She was preceded in death by her parents; a brother, Richard Ward; and a grandson, Andy Renteria.
     A celebration of life service will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at the Community Full Gospel Church, Meade, with the Rev. Raymond Gramkow presiding. Cremation has taken place. Inurnment will take place in Colorado at a later date.
