Ida Maye Long, 89, died Tuesday, May 27, 2008 at the Minneola Long Term Care Unit, Minneola.
    She was born Sept. 16, 1918 to Thomas James and Mary Edith (Kern) Meador in Gray County.  She married Cephas Andrew Long on Oct. 7, 1936.  He preceded her in death on Dec. 12, 2000.
    She was homemaker and had worked for Carl Caldwell as a bookkeeper, for the Caldwell Garage, Sublette for a number of years.
    She was a charter member of the Free Will Baptist Church, Ulysses, served on the board of the Moscow Senior Center, Moscow, a member of the Federated Club, Moscow, Girls Auxiliary leader, of Southern Baptist Church and Sunday School Teacher, Satanta, Woman's Missionary both of Satanta and Moscow.
    Survivors include two sons, John Andrew Long and wife, Trina, Port Lucie, Fla., Arthur Thomas Long and wife, Beverly, Minneola; one daughter, Sevalan Maye Brollier and husband, Carl, Moscow; one brother, Roy Meador and wife, Betty, Satanta; nine grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren.
    She was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers, John Meador and Leigh Meador, five sisters, Marian Caldwell, Alta Peacock, Erma Taton, Ethel Withers and Hattie Lashmett, one son in law, Alan Bell.
    The funeral service will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at the United Methodist Church, Moscow with Revs. Timothy McCary and Stan Copeland presiding. Burial will be in the Moscow Cemetery, Moscow.
    A memorial service will be at 10 a.m. Monday at the Minneola Long Term Care Unit, Minneola.
    Friends may call from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Thursday and Friday at the Haskell County Funeral Home, Sublette.
