Veva L. (Bever) Ross Fincher, 94, of Ulysses formerly of Loveland, Colorado died May 24, 2008 at Bob Wilson Memorial Hospital in Ulysses. 


Veva L. (Bever) Ross Fincher, 94, of Ulysses formerly of Loveland, Colorado died May 24, 2008 at Bob Wilson Memorial Hospital in Ulysses. 
    She was born January 9, 1914 in Cedar Vale, the daughter of Orval Elmer and D. Maxey (Casebolt) Bever.  On June 12, 1934 she married Archel F. Ross in Granada, Colo.  He preceded her in death on April 25, 1963.  On Nov. 6, 1965 she married Luther M. Fincher in Loveland, Colo.  He preceded her in death on Sept. 23 1988.
    The family moved to Koehn Ranch in Prowers County, Colo., in 1919 and to Granada, Colo., in 1921.  She attended school in Granada and graduated from high school in 1932.  She then attended Greeley Teachers College in Greeley, Colo.  She has also lived in LaJunta and Fort Collins, Colo. 
    She was a member of the First United Methodist Church and Keystone Class.  She was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star #50 in Holly since 1936 and also belonged to Royal Neighbors of America.  She was a loving mother, grandmother, homemaker and seamstress.
    Survivors include two daughters: Maxie Coffey and husband Richard, Ulysses, Kansas, Kay Oswandel and husband Dwight of Arvada, Colo.; five grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren.
    The Funeral service will be at 2 p.m. MST Thursday at First United Methodist Church in Loveland, Colo.  Interment will take place at Resthaven Memory Gardens in Fort Collins, Colorado.
    Friends may call prior to the service from 10 a.m. until noon on Thursday at Kibbey-Fishburn Funeral Home.
