A Ranch Sorting National Championship RSNC sanctioned sorting and penning event is coming to Dodge City on Saturday and Sunday.  The fun starts at 9 a.m. each day at the Roundup arena.  For this particular event, the RSNC association has made a great effort to encourage participation of newcomers to the sport of Ranch sorting.
The association hopes that this will be a community event.  Special classes are scheduled and as always no membership is required for beginners, any age, or 4H/FFA youth riders.  RSNC President Dave Wolfe, says, "This is a sport for everyone, especially families. Parents and children, grandparents and grandkids... even young siblings can team up together.  I will be in Dodge City with my wife and three boys, ages thirteen, eleven and six; we all compete together and have a great time."
RSNC realizes that the cost of fuel is whittling away at everyone's budget, therefore entry fees have been kept a minimum.  Once again, to encourage local participation, RSNC has special entry level as well as special awards in the youth, beginner, and rookie classes.  Of course there will still be upper level classes with 60% payback.
