Hazel Lea Cornett, 78, died Wednesday, May 28, 2008 at Pioneer Manor, Hugoton.
    She was born Sept. 9, 1929 to Lloyd and Bessie Markel Reinert at Montezuma.  She married Robert R. Cornett on June 16, 1949 at Cimarron. He preceded her in death on Oct. 15, 1999.
    After her marriage they moved from Emporia to Sublette and then to Hugoton in 1961. She loved her children and grandchildren.  Her hobbies were taking care of her horses and dogs.  She worked at Bloodhart Drug for many years and then as a bank teller at Citizens State Bank, Hugoton.
    Survivors include one son, Richard Edward Cornett, CT.; three daughters, Cindy Lee Key and husband, David, Texhoma, Okla., Janet Kay Cornelson and husband, Steve, Hugoton, and Connie Ann Cornett, Derby; sister, Carol Reinert, Carrollton, GA.; 12 grandchildren and 21 great-grandchildren.
    She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, one brother, Curt Reinert.
    The funeral service will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at Paul's Funeral Home Chapel, Hugoton with Rev. Keith Peachy presiding.  Burial will be in the Fairview Cemetery, Montezuma.
    Friends may call from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Friday at Paul's Funeral Home, Hugoton.
