    Eileen Leonard, 89, died Thursday, May 29, 2008, at Presbyterian Manor of the Plains at Dodge City.
    She was born on June 11, 1918 at Hays, the daughter of Ward and Blanche (Sanford) Jenkins. On Oct. 16, 1939, she married her high school sweetheart, Art Leonard, at Sacred Heart Cathedral in Dodge City. He preceded her in death on Nov. 19, 2002.
    She moved to Dodge City in the early 1920s, attended Central Elementary and graduated from Dodge City High School in 1936. She and her parents attended the First Christian Church.          Eileen was a homemaker and owner of Eileen Fabric's Eunique of Dodge City.
    She was a member of Cathedral Of Our Lady Of Guadalupe and the Salvation Army Board, a member of the Daughters Of The American Revolution and a former member of the Sacred Heart Altar Society, all of Dodge City.
    Survivors include two sons, Randy Leonard and wife, Rebecca, of Wichita, and Mitchell Leonard and wife, Virginia, Dodge City; and a daughter, Gretchen Steffen and husband, Robert, of Olathe. She is also survived by 14 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren
    She was preceded in death by her parents; a son, Arthur Leonard II; a brother, Ward Jenkins; a stepbrother, Arthur Fuller; and a sister, Dorothy Fredelake.
    The funeral Mass will be at 10 a.m. Monday at the Cathedral Of Our Lady Of Guadalupe, with the Rev. Ted Skalsky celebrating. Burial will follow at Greencrest Cemetery in Dodge City.
    Visitation will be from noon to 7 p.m. Sunday at Swaim Funeral Home, Dodge City. A vigil service will be at 7 p.m. at the funeral home.
