The Graduate School of Banking at Colorado, along with the Kansas Bankers Association, is pleased to announce the appointment of Michael D. Stevens, CEO and chairman of the board of Centera Bank in Sublette, to the GSBC Board of Trustees. Mike's term will begin in July, replacing the seat of David Brownback, president of Citizens State Bank & Trust in Ellsworth. Brownback has been a member of the board since 2000 and served as chairman in 2005.
    A graduate of the University of Kansas and the Graduate School of Banking at Colorado, Stevens has been with Centera Bank for 30 years.  He recently served as chairman of the Kansas Bankers Association and is now the current chairman of the KBA Federal Affairs Committee. Mike has served on the KBA Board of Directors and the Schools of Banking Board of Directors, as well as the Kansas Banking Board.
    Mike is married to Risa, who is employed by USD 374. They have six children and two grandchildren.
