Laurence L. Hendrickson, 85, died Thursday, Jan. 20, 2011, at the Excelsior Springs Hospital. 


    Laurence L. Hendrickson, 85, died Thursday, Jan. 20, 2011, at the Excelsior Springs Hospital.  
    He was raised in Montezuma and served in the U.S. Army during World War II. He worked as a farm foreman in the Liberty, Mo., area for many years.
    He is survived by his wife, Bonnie; three daughters, Paula (Thomas) Mayhill, Wichita, Patty Hendrickson, Hutchinson, and Susan Miller, Palmyra, Neb.; a stepson, Ronnie Gritten of Mosby, Mo.; three grandchildren; a daughter-in-law, Linda Gritten, who was the wife of Terry Gritten; and numerous step-grandchildren, step-great-grandchildren and step-great-great-grandchildren.
    He was preceded in death by his parents, Sherman and Edna Hendrickson; a daughter, Charolotte Lyn Hendrickson; a stepson, Terry Gritten; four brothers, Harry, Harold, Leonard and Sherman Hendrickson; and four sisters, Dorthy Hahn, Doris Weatherford, Carol Woods and Connie Hendrickson.
    Funeral services took place Monday at Polley Funeral Home, Excelsior Springs, Mo. A private Internment at Swan Lake Memorial Gardens, Grain Valley, Mo., for family members took place following the services.
