The ground breaking for the new Reflection Living senior living facility took place in November with construction starting immediately after.
The new facility is located just north of Trinity Manor on 6th Avenue that will bring unique care to residents which is different from a traditional nursing home.
"Construction is working on getting as much done before any bad weather comes in," Dennis Wright with Home Partners Plus said. "Conant Construction has been doing a great job and will work on it as best they can.
"A construction job such as this will likely take about 6 months to complete so we are looking at the construction finishing around April or May 2017."
Reflection Living was started by Susie Engels and Jennifer Maul in Wichita who took their combined 40 years of nursing to open their own senior living facility.
"It is not assisted living," Maul said to the Globe previously. "We generally have residents that are mid-level assisted to end of life nursing care.
"The homestyle environment allows for a more high level of care."
In 2006, Haul and Engels opened their first home in Wichita and have since opened four as of 2015.
The new facility will be the first Reflection Living in Dodge City.
The Reflection Living homes are equipped with a kitchen, living room and quiet rooms that residents can use any time they want.
"Partnering with Susie and Jennifer has made everything so much easier," Martin said. "They know exactly what they want and it is our job to make sure that happens.
"Quentin Conant and his crew have been great as well.
"It has been a combined effort."
