Christmas is a time for families to come together and share in the joy of love and happiness for the holidays.
For some families it is also a time for reflection and remembrance one more time before a new year begins.
Part of that remembrance comes with the annual laying of the Wreaths Across America in honor and remembrance of our fallen men and women of the Armed Forces.
This Saturday at Kansas Veterans’ Cemetery at Fort Dodge, the laying of the wreaths will be at 11 a.m. and is open for the public to attend.
This will mark the 26th anniversary of the Worcester Wreath Company donating wreaths for military cemeteries across the country.
There will be seven ceremonial wreaths donated as well to commemorate veterans of the US Army, US Navy, US Air Force, US Marines, US Coast Guard, US Merchant Marines as well as honoring those who are POW/MIA.
