The 37th Art is Ageless art display wrapped up earlier this year and artists from Manor of the Plains in Dodge City will have featured artwork in the 2019 Art is Ageless calendar.
The art display was held throughout the Presbyterian Manors of Mid-America land, with 17 manors taking part.
The five artists and artwork that will be featured in the calendar were Joanne Clarke for the painting My Country Tis of Thee; Mary Ford for the drawing Deer; Mary Anne Hendrix for the painting 3 Girls; Linnette Jones for the Christmas piece Welcome and Pat Tieben for the fiber arts piece Round Table Topper.
Honorable Mentions went to Vivian Goetz for the quilting Summer Vine and Connie Appling for the needlework Monday Daisy's.
Designations for the works were put into amateur and professional in nine different categories.
According to Manor of the Plains marketing director Kurt Lampe, the Art is Ageless Program encourages Presbyterian Manor residents and other area seniors to express their creativity through its annual competition, as well as art classes, musical and dramatic events, educational opportunities and current events discussions throughout the year.
"The (calendars) are distributed to all 17 Manors," Lampe said, "which our area would be here at Manor of the Plains.
"They usually come in around October or November."
