Central Station Bar and Grill will welcome Jason Boland & The Stragglers to Dodge City on Friday, Aug. 17 at 10 p.m.

According to All Eyes Media, Boland and The Stragglers’ genuineness and grit comes a staying power that has the band packing out iconic dance halls and theaters across the country.

American Songwriter premiered their new music recently.

"On their new record, Hard Times Are Relative, Boland and the Stragglers stack the smart, road-ready outlaw country that fans have come to expect, while embracing change and pushing the boundaries of what country music can be," All Eyes Media said in a press release. "The result is an album brimming with gratifying country, loaded with a shot of adrenaline and lyrics that reveal their depth upon further listening.

"Rolling Stone Country recently said, 'It's an album with substance in the lyrics, but also one with fun and catchy melodies worth hearing with the volume up.'"

All Eyes Media added that Boland is a true craftsman of genuine, no-frills country music, keeping his focus on clever, intelligent songwriting and a raw sound that’s earned him, and his longtime band, a loyal following.

"Proving that keeping one foot in tradition doesn’t have to be so limiting, it's their subtle musical prowess, paired with unruly Oklahoma junkyard pedigree, that combines to create some of the best independent honky tonk in two decades," the company said.

Tickets are on sale now and are $20 in advance of the Aug. 17 show.
