Only minor injuries were reported in a Tuesday morning crash near 102 Road and Outlaw Road in Ford County.

According to Ford County Fire Chief Robert Boyd, the passengers were able to get out of the vehicle on their own accord and were treated for their injuries.

Ford County Sheriff Bill Carr said water rushing across the road was the cause of the over turn that occurred at 7 a.m. Tuesday.

According to National Weather Service meteorologist Mike Umscheid in Dodge City, areas that extended from Howell east towards Highway 283 near Saddle Road were the highest hit with rainfall.

"Along that line, those areas received close to four and a half to five inches of rain," Umscheid said. "There was also areas southeast of Wright that received four and a half to five inches of rain."
