BUCKLIN — The Kansas Department of Aging conducted its annual inspection of Hill Top House in Bucklin Oct. 25-30 and determined the home to be deficiency free.
"I am so proud of our staff," said administrator Judy Kregar. "These positive results are indicative of our caring, committed, and hardworking team."
In addition to close observation of staff, the survey team reviewed resident records to assure state regulations are met.
After conversations with residents, families and staff, surveyors
shared with supervisors, the many positive findings noted during their time in the Bucklin home.
"The people who live here are very happy and are glad to call this ‘home’," Kregar said. "The staff truly know the residents, which affects their care. The building is clean and comfortable.
"The residents have told us how wonderful the food is and about the fun things you do here."
Hill Top House is a not-for-profit 30-bed Skilled Nursing Facility, with six adjoining assisted living apartments.
Professional nurses are on duty 24/7 and Shawn Conard, MD is onsite weekly for resident appointments.
Physical, occupational and speech therapies are offered as well.
