The Dodge City High School will present the musical Freaky Friday beginning Thursday and running through Saturday at 7 p.m. in the DCHS auditorium.

Directed by Kelly Knedler, Freaky Friday is based on the novel by Mary Rodgers which later became a feature film starring Lindsay Lohan and Jamie Lee Curtis.

According to a press release, Freaky Friday is the story of an overworked mother and her teenage daughter who magically swap bodies and they have just one day to put things right again.

It is a heartfelt, comedic, and unexpectedly emotional update on an American classic.

The press release added that, by spending a day in each other's shoes, Katherine and Ellie come to appreciate one another's struggles, learn self-acceptance, and realize the immeasurable love and mutual respect that bond a mother and daughter.

The cast will consist of students Delanny Ormord playing Ellie; Aria Knedler playing Katherine; Ruby Quezada playing Kristin; Kale Lowery playing Adam; Kaleb Ernst playing Parker; Alexa Martinez Alba playing Torrey; Wyatt Trombley playing Cater Waiter and Zane Hager playing Fletcher and more.

Along with DCHS students, the crew is made up of Rachel Trombley, Assistant Director; Taylor Conant, Assistant Director; Erik Stone, Assistant Director; Tami Burkhart, Accompanist; Nikki Salem, Choreographer and Doug Trombley, Properties.

The Thursday, show will be general admission only with tickets for $6. A family of five or more can purchase tickets for their entire family for only $20 per family.

On the Friday and Saturday shows, tickets are $8 and are reserved seating only.
