Three Dodge City High School graduates will have a chance at a $2,000 scholarship coming this spring.

The Shelter Insurance Foundation will be awarding three scholarships from agents Michael Mariche, Jason Putnam and Troy McCain.

Applications for the scholarships must be completed and returned no later than March 20.

A committee will base the recipients on scholastic achievements, education goals, citizenship, moral character, participation and leadership in school and community activities.

The committee will be made up of high school officials as well community leaders and will award the scholarships at the end of the school year.

Those who wish to apply for the scholarships can do so by contacting their high school counselor, principal or the Shelter Insurance agents themselves.

The Shelter Foundation Scholarship will make the payment to the school the recipient selects that would go towards tuition, fees or campus housing beginning in the fall after high school graduation at any accredited college or university.

Headquartered in Columbia, Missouri, Shelter Insurance Foundation is a non-profit corporation for charitable and educational purposes sponsored by Shelter Insurance Companies that offers auto, home, life, farm and business insurance services in more than 14 states.
