For May Day 2019, the Dodge City Area Women's Chamber of Commerce will be hosting the May Day fundraiser breakfast from 6:30 to 10:30 a.m. at Casey's Cowtown on Wednesday.

They will be serving sausage, hash browns, scrambled eggs, biscuits, juice and coffee.

Proceeds for the fundraiser will go to Our Scholarship & Community Service programs with a portion of the funds going to Sacred Heart Endowment in memory of Jamie Lutz.

"Since we couldn't get our annual St Patrick's Day benefit breakfast organized this year, we decided to try something new," said Women's Chamber treasurer Debbie Eddy. "To celebrate spring, we are also doing a raffle this year, and the items are awesome.

"We have some fantastic sponsors for the event and we are hoping this first-ever May Day Benefit will be as successful as our St. Patrick's Day benefits have been.

"We encourage people to join us at Casey's Cowtown until the biscuits run out."

Tickets for the fundraiser cost $10 and will feature door prizes as well.
