The Dodge City Family YMCA held its 6th annual recognition and celebration banquet on April 29 at Hoover Pavilion.
This event highlighted the volunteers, staff, members and donors who went above and beyond to help the YMCA be successful.
This year the event celebrated the accomplishments of 2018 with more than 60 people in attendance.
"The ARC Banquet gives us the opportunity to say thanks to all the supporters who do an amazing job for us," said Dodge City YMCA branch executive Jackie Regan in a press release. "Our YMCA is fortunate and blessed to be gaining the support of the community which enables us to provide our programs and services.
"I salute and thank everyone for their continued support and commitment to healthy living, youth development and social responsibility."
Several award recipients were also announced during the banquet.
Awards of Merit Employees were Cassie Roths, Kelsie Baker, Reagin Duesing, Taylor Goos, Alicia Trejo, Susan Hernandez, Ashley Sandoval, Katie Corwin, Nohely Cervantes, Marian Hollingsworth, Amelia Martinez, Eric Rincon, Gretchen Torrez and Thomas Martin.
Awards of Merit Volunteers were Aaron Conrardy, Scheon Elledge, Chris Self, Stacy Stinemetze, Laura Johnson, Vanessa Medrano, Darrell Roths, Cori Tagtmeyer, Jennifer Mendoza, Tom Armstrong, Stephenie Christiansen and Tami Knedler.
Mission Champions were Rob Sowers, Gayly Conard and Mike Sharpsteen.
Youth Development Champion was Justin Heeke.
Spirit, Mind and Body (Coach of the Year) was Summer Bates.
Healthy Living Champion was Ryan Blackburn.
Partner In Health (Corporate Member of the Year) was National Beef.
Member Champion was Dave Rebein.
Courage Champion was Subatha Beherns.
Employee Champions were Anajehel and Faviola Meza.
Family Champions was the Mayco and Meyvin Ramos Family.
Humanitarian Champion was Andrea Loll.
Character Development Champion was Trisha Blanco.
Volunteer Champion was Mike Salcido.
Social Responsibility Champion was Nannette Pogue.
Committee Champion was Tyler Ball.
Past President Award went to Rob Sowers.
ASC All-Stars were Darrell Roths, Andrea Loll, Julie Banks, Jose Cardenas, Chris Robinson and Cory Israel.
The Healthy Heart Champions of 200 visits or more were Ryan Blackburn, Francisco Ambriz, John Arellano, Jose Arevelo, Scott Bogner, Gwen Brooks, Jose Cardenas, Maria Cardenas, Gustavo Cobian, Whitney Doan, Antonio Esparza, Richard Falcon, Noel Gaucin, Noe Gonzalez, James Hall, Nancy Hattrup, Dominic Hernandez, Elida Hernandez, Jonathon Horacek, Isela Martinez, Jacqueline Martinez, Jose Martinez, Jose Martinez, Lucio Montiel, Leo Ontiveros, Albert Pacheco, Kasey Perez, Erik Prieto, Julio Ramirez, Mayco Ramos, Bertha Rentana, Leona Stacy, Dale Stephenson, Alicia Stude, Roberto Torres and Gabriel Villegas.
"It was an eventful night filled with some powerful and motivating testimonials from all the award winners," Regan said. "This is part of Living Our Cause at the YMCA and our mission of making a difference in the community.
"Being a non-profit organization we rely heavily on the special friends and volunteers to make it happen.
