Dodge City Area Young Professionals will be presenting Party in the Park at Eisenhower Park from 6 to 8 p.m. this Friday.
The party will feature live music by Noelle Garcia and David McHugh, Crazy Burger food truck and samples of craft beer sponsored by Western Beverage.
Wristbands are $10 and must be 21 years of age or older to attend.
Dodge City Area Young Professionals hold monthly meetings and host quarterly events ranging from networking, professional development, volunteering and community relations.
"It was decided that the YP’s wanted to be a part of Final Friday held downtown," said Joni Wittman, Dodge City Area Chamber of Commerce events director. "With the new renovation of Eisenhower Park, it seemed like a perfect fit.
"This is the first Party in the Park. However, depending on how well it is received, we hope to make it an annual event."
According to Wittman, the Dodge City Area Young Professionals is a chamber initiative that offers innovative ways for young professionals in the Dodge City area to socialize and expand their professional horizons.
Dodge City business professionals between the ages of 21 and 40 make up the committee.
"This committee is made up of those who are ambitious, educated, and ready to work hard, play hard, and make a difference in their community," Wittman said. "Each year the YPs host several fundraisers and help serve at the Dodge City Days event Salute the Troops."
Party in the Park proceeds will go back to the young professionals for future events.
