BELOIT — The Salina Pestinger Falcons closed the regular season with a pair of road wins over Beloit on Saturday night.

The Falcons needed extra innings to win the opener 7-5, then never trailed in a 10-4 victory in the second contest. Salina will take a 20-10-1 record into the postseason and next week's zone tournament.

The first game was a seesaw battle, with Salina scoring three runs in the third to go up 3-1, then scoring twice in the fourth to take a 5-3 lead. Beloit tied the game with two runs in its half of the fourth and neither team scored again until extra innings.

Sheldon Perez opened the eighth with a single and Jason Duong drew a walk. The Falcons executed a double steal before Brogen Richardson's single to center scored both Perez and Duong for a 7-5 lead.

Joshua Weiser, who threw the final two innings, worked a 1-2-3 bottom of the eighth to earn the win.

Richardson also had an RBI double in the third and a run-scoring single in the fourth, finishing with four hits and four RBIs in the opener. Perez had three hits, with Duong and Jovan Suarez adding two each.

Salina jumped to a 4-0 lead in the first inning of the second contest. After Beloit cut the lead to 4-3 in the third, the Falcons put it out reach with three runs in the fifth and three in the sixth.

Loren Vincent went 4 for 4 with two doubles and four RBIs in the second contest. Zach Isaacson had three hits and Richardson two. Perez threw the first three innings and Cason Long the final four for Salina.
