Felix Flores, 18, was arrested and charged with false impersonation early Saturday morning in Ford County.

According to Ford County Sheriff Bill Carr, about 1:45 a.m. July 20, Ford County deputies were dispatched to a call of a suspicious vehicle that had pulled over a car using emergency lights in Dodge City.

"Witnesses identified the suspect vehicle as an older model Crown Victoria with a temporary license plate which did not match any local law enforcement vehicles," Carr said. "Deputies located the suspect vehicle near the Ford/Gray County line on Highway 50 and conducted a traffic stop where an 18-year-old male was subsequently arrested as a result of the incident and booked into the Ford County Detention Center."

According to Ford County Attorney Kevin Salzman, the penalty for false impersonation is a Class B misdemeanor with up to six months in jail and up to $1,000 in fines.

The case has been sent to the Ford County Attorney's Office for review.
